Movement and fitness-related activities have been a somewhat regular part of my life since I was little. I did ballet for many years before joining my high school’s Track and Cross Country teams, and after I got married, I switched to triathlons and marathons. But even with all this history of exercise, I have had my fair share of times where it wasn’t. I often joke that I can sometimes be the laziest active person. I enjoy sleeping in and taking the morning easy with a nice cup of coffee.
I graduated from the College of Charleston with a B.A. in Physical Education with an Emphasis on Exercise Science and a Master’s Degree from Wake Forest University in Exercise Science. While at Wake, I had the privilege to work with their Cardiac Rehabilitation Program. This is probably where the spark for helping people with their healthy habit journey ignited. Since then, I have become a Certified Spin Instructor, a Certified Personal Trainer, a Certified Run Coach, a Certified Nutrition Coach, and a Certified Go + Tell Gals Coach.
I love seeing people thrive and succeed on their healthy habit journey. The world hasn’t always been kind and helpful regarding what healthy is, what it is supposed to look like, or how you are supposed to get there. I want to help you break through the lies you’ve believed for so long and learn how to incorporate healthy habits into your life because trying to fit your life around healthy habits doesn’t work for everyone. There is no one-size-fits-all method. Understanding the why and how behind it helps. Knowing that healthy looks different for everyone because our healthy habit journey is unique as each of us changes everything. I’m less about intense quick fixes and for helping you learn how to sustain your healthy habit journey for the long haul so you can take care of the good body you have—because your body is good!
