What: A two-day retreat, hosted by Jess Connolly and the Go and Tell Gals team, where you’ll leave with a book proposal, a clear plan to approach agents and publishers, and a spirit-filled strategy to use your words for God’s glory.

At Book Camp, we’ll confront the barriers holding you back from bringing your work into the world and draw out what God has put in you. Together, we’ll map out your journey from first draft to marketing your book - empowering you with real strategies, practical steps, and community accountability to make this call a reality.

What Can I Expect at Book Camp?

BEFORE book camp

You’ll be sent a handful of resources for you explore your audience, your message, and the 30,000 foot view of the book creation process so you can show up with an already-begun book proposal.

Monday, February 24

Our retreat will begin at a beautiful beach house on Monday, February 24 in the morning where we’ll immediately get to know one another, and you’ll be showered with some treats and food to help you feel celebrated and get settled in. 

Our Monday topics include:

  • Breaking free from limiting beliefs.

  • Audience exploration & reader transformation detailing

  • Effective writing strategies.

We’ll end the day with dinner and a celebration of all you’ve accomplished so far!

tuesday, February 25

On Tuesday, we’ll shift our attention to the publishing & marketing process! Our topics include:

  • Publishing process & practices

  • Book proposal review & feedback

  • Marketing & social media

We’ll end our time together with vision and commissioning—because this isn’t just life-giving work, it’s Kingdom-commissioned work. We want to send you out with your message full of encouragement and confidence!

how many people will be there?

Because of the high level of attention paid to each author, and the intimate nature of exploring these early-stage messages, we have limited spots for Book Camp (approximately 25).

  • Yes! You can pay $2,500 in full, or have 3 equal monthly payments of $833.33.

  • Great question. A few weeks before Book Camp happens, you’ll receive access to our Book Camp eCourse, which will help you prepare for a powerful 2 days together!

    Book Camp is designed for women who have an idea of the message they want to share and are interested in pursuing writing & publication in the near future. Our goal at Book Camp is to leave you with a confident path forward into completing your book proposal and beginning the publishing process.

    If you know you’re interested in writing, but don’t yet know what you want to share or who you want to write to, we recommend that you stay tuned for the Book Camp eCourse as a first step!

  • Book Camp is designed for Kingdom women who want to share their message in a nonfiction book.

    The publication & writing journey is so different for fiction, that we do not recommend Book Camp for fiction writers at this time!
